What: FQGS #4 Reminder Post

When: Midway Point is May 21 and #4 ends on June 5 at 1am CT/Chicago.

DT inspiration from Guest DT (Blue Ribbon Winner from March 7-April 5th #3 challenge)  for May 21 is Lynn 

[Background: FarmQuest General Store challenge blog competition #4 is still open for deliveries of your submitted projects (1-5 new AF/CG themed) until very early on June 5, 2023. Any rural, outdoors, woods, country kind of projects made between May 7-June 5 can be entered.]

We are excited that our #2 competition had over 25 entries so a Blue Ribbon Winner was picked and offered the chance to Guest Design for this reminder post. 

Say howdy to Lynn: " I'm a Texan and even though I've always lived in the country, I'm considered a city dweller now I guess.  I really miss that good old country living!  I've been making cards for quite a few years and am so excited to be a guest designer for this wonderful new challenge blog."

The cowboy and cowgirl are stamps from Art Impression and are colored in Copic markers.  They are stamped, cut out, popped up on dimensionals, and then mounted on a die cut oval of patterned paper.  This is all mounted to the wood grain background paper and the sentiment is from Close to My Heart.  A die cut star and bit of twine were added to the card.

Competition runs from 1am CST/Chicago or 7am UK on May 7-June 5, 2023.

Design Team inspiration projects for Challenge month #4:

This was a fun mixed media slimline friendship card to put together! Even if there's clouds or rain, I will be there for you/ewe. (Stampin' Up ewe stamp 1996)

DT member NanaConnie=

[AFCG elements: barn, silo, weathervane, dirt, hay, pig and cow]

Her card's images are from Bugaboo that she merged together for a FARM-tastic barn scene! The coloring was done with new Sanjoki markers. And a linen embossing folder used for the background.

Such a fun birthday party! The 3 rows of layered papers behind the focal remind me of horizontal fence rails.

FQGS #3 Top Shelf Picks Announcement

 Top Shelf Picks Announcement for FQGS Theme #3

 Whoa! Theme #3 for FarmQuest General Store challenge blog is no longer accepting deliveries of crafted projects! :)

About 22 1/2 hours ago, the 3rd AFCG themed challenge for FQGS ended. So that means the new #4 will start in about 25 1/2 hours if my math is correct.

Theme #1 had 10 entries!! #2 had 27. And #3 had 16 entries!

There was an eclectic bunch of formats: cards, tag, art journal pages and scrapbook layouts! Which I love to see because we do allow some different paper-crafting/hybrid projects!! 

Thank you to all the wonderfully talented artisans who took time to create and deliver projects to the store!

The variety of country/outdoors/farm/ranch kind of topics was amazing! We had gardening, farm animals, meadow, dandelions, bandanas, barns, cowboy/cowgirl, watering can with flowers and hiker/forest.
