FQGSCB #14 Anything Farm and or Country Goes theme starts 7 March 2024

Welcome to the country store of crafting called 

FarmQuest General Store challenge blog!!!

March 7- April 5, 2024 is competition #14. 

Theme is always Anything Farm and/or Country Goes. 

Topics can range from ranch/farm/farmhouse to desert to swamp to forest/woods to pond, etc. Activities can vary from fishing, camping, picnicking, taking a hayride, picking out a pumpkin and thousands more! You can do any season of the year at any time. Formats are scrapbook layouts, TNs/journals/planners, tags, bookmarks, ATCs, and cards.

A random participant winner will receive the 3 monthly featured images from QKR Stampede.

FQGS DT member Nana Connie is coordinating this and has worked with them for many years.

#14 results posting will be published between April 5-7, 2024 so please check to see who will be the special random prize winner. The winner has until 9 pm Pacific Time on April 15, 2024 to claim their prize (use the contact email address for DT member Nana Connie that will be shared in the bragging rights post) or it will be re-drawn.

  QKR Stampede has allowed the DT to use 3 images per month.

What: FQGS #12.5 Reminder Post

When: Midway Point is January 21 and #12 ends on February 5, 2024 at 12am CT/Chicago. 

Theme: anything farm or country goes topics; country can be backyard, rural, woods, forest, desert, mountains, creek, river, pond, lake, swamp, farmhouse kitchen, orchard, winery, etc.

Formats: cards, ATCs, tags, bookmarks, calendars and planners, journal pages or spreads, TN pages or spreads, larger scrapbook layouts

(Note: this card would also work for sister blog--FarmQuest Country Christmas challenges)

I took a boxed card front panel and trimmed it down  with a small scrap plaid strip to the left and a base of the green and white buffalo plaid. I added white glitter foam snowflake stickers, 2 pale lavender mini dots, and a clear heart-shaped gem for the accents.

FQGS Challenge #3 AFCG Theme starts 7 April 2023

 Welcome to the country store!

FarmQuest General Store Challenge Blog is announcing its 3rd challenge competition! 

Please drop off your AFCG theme projects between April 7-May 5, 2023 by 1:00am CST or 7am UK for some time references.

Bragging rights for Top Shelf recognition are waiting. 

If entries are at 25 or +, there will be a Blue Ribbon Winner selected. This craft artisan will not only have bragging rights but have an invite to be GD for the following month's reminder post.

NanaConnie's made another stunning AFCG inspiration card with this wonderful milk barn with kitten visitors image!

She printed the image in grayscale and then colored lightly with aqua marker! Her stash provided the scraps and twine to finish the card front! Awesome! NanaConnie told me that those kittens couldn't have a happier place! I agree! Too cute!

Campfire Daydreaming

[AFCG elements: campfire, log, sticks, buffalo plaid print]

For another card entered at another challenge blog recently I won 3 images from LeAnn's World 101! This campfire scene image was 1 of my selections! I added the dark ground horizon line to help ground/anchor the image and then added some bluish swirls and some gray squiggles for some night sky. I also added some yellow 'sparks' leaping off the fire's flames. Some different scraps to look like sticks were added behind the image focal.

 Howdy! This is FarmQuest General Store Challenge Blog, a sister blog to twice per month themed challenges at FarmQuest! 

FQGS will be monthly AFCG themed.

Anything Farm Country Goes

What's included: farm, ranch, rural, country, dirt roads, gravel roads, picket fences, barbed wire, barns, farm animals, farm equipment, farmhouses, kitchens, canning, orchards, markets/farmer's produce markets/U-picks, sunflowers, scarecrows, hay, denim, plaid, gingham, burlap, frogs, fireflies, fishing, camping, pond life, brooks/streams, and much more.

What's not included: city life, city buildings, city parks, playgrounds, amusement parks, suburbia life, shopping malls/centers, etc.

Acceptable formats are the same as FQCB= cards, ATCs, bookmarks, tags, small spreads for TNs/calendars/planners/journals, and larger spreads for scrapbook layouts. 

Competition starts on February 7, 2023 at 1:00am CST/Chicago and ends on March 5, 2023 at 1:00am CST/Chicago.

All of these projects were made by me, the owner Becca S. The summer camp bookmark will go to my niece Faith who works year round as a program assistant at a Lutheran campground. The family tree bookmark is not designated for anyone as I prepare this posting. I'll keep it for awhile and think about who to mail it to. (Vendors: Echo Park and Carta Bella)
